Princess Maria Christina was the third child and second daughter of Maria Theresia to survive infancy. She was also Maria Theresia's favorite daughter.
Youth[]
Maria Christina had a lovely youth. Her mother called her Mimi and openly confessed Maria Christina was her favorite child. That is the reason she was loathed by all her brothers and sisters. Because her mother favored her, she was the only daughter to marry out of love.
Marriage[]
After many years of trying, she finally had a child named Maria Theresia after her mother but she only lived for a day. After her, Maria Christina was unable to have any other children.
